This will be Mr. Dunham's fourth year teaching at Qingdao No. 1 International School. Over that time he has taught 9th grade through 12th grade math courses including AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB and BC. Additionally this will be his third year teaching AP Economics. This year (2015-2016SY) Mr. Dunham will be teaching three sections of Precalculus (Advanced 10, 11A, and 11B), as well as AP Calculus and AP Economics. This year in addition to his classes Mr. Dunham will be the 12th grade homeroom teacher, and will be the adviser for the high school student council.
Mr. Dunham grew up in Washington State in the Northwestern part of the United States. His father is a physicist and his mother is a registered nurse, so he grew up heavily influenced by science and mathematics. For university he attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon where he earned a BA in Mathematics. After graduating he moved to Colorado and spent a year working as a teachers assistant for a primary school special needs class. He then changed course and enrolled in a program to earn a Masters Degree in Accounting (MACC) from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. After that he changed course again, returning to teaching, but this time as a secondary mathematics teacher with an emphasis on advanced mathematics (calculus and statistics).
