__Precalculus__

Precalculus begins with a brief but rigorous review of advanced algebra. It builds on the ideas of equations and teaches a deeper understanding of the idea of a "function." Then the major emphasis of the course is trigonometry. We will spend AT LEAST an entire quarter on trigonometry, possibly more. Unit 3 introduces terms and ideas necessary to succeed in calculus, and unit 4 introduces statistics and data analysis, which are skills any university student needs to succeed.

Semester 01: Unit 1: Relations, Functions & Graphs

Unit 2: Trigonometry

Semester 02: Unit 3: Advanced Functions & Graphing

Unit 4: Discrete Mathematics

Each unit will last approximately one quarter. Each unit will include daily homework and regular quizzes. At the end of each semester there will be a cumulative final covering the content from the entire semester. Additionally there will be some group projects throughout the year.
