ABOUT ME
My name is Erik Dunham. I am currently a High School Mathematics teacher at Cairo American College, located in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt.

I have been teaching for ten years. I earned my B.A degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR in Mathematics. From there I started out as a primary school para-educator for a special education class, and also worked as a one-on-one with special ed students at summer programs. After that I went to grad school to earn an Macc (Master's Degree in Accounting) from the University of St. Louis-Missouri. From there I had planned on entering the financial sector, but an opportunity to teach high school mathematics came up and I took it. I moved to Qingdao, China and never looked back.

While in China I taught all levels of high school mathematics, including AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. I also taught AP Macroeconomic and AP Microeconomics. From China I moved to Cairo where I am currently teaching high school mathematics.

In addition to teaching I am passionate about basketball, arts, and theatre. For three year I helped run the Maadi Community Theater where I was a director, stage manager, sound designer, and also an actor. I am also the currently head coach for the CAC Varsity Girls basketball program.
